Milani is a drugstore brand that impresses me often. From their gorgeous Corallina blush (which is a staple for me now) to their new eyetech liner (which gets my line right each time) and now their new Powder eyeshadows. These powder shadows were a lot better than expected. I used Tarte's new 12 hour primer with them, and found that they lasted pretty long. Click below to see swatches, and see a look I created with the shadows and read about the best mango martin in NYC:
From left to right:
|Purple Shock, Caramel Brown, Brown Stone, Pearl, Gold Dust|
Purple shock is such a pretty lilac, Caramel Brown is a shimmery golden brown color, Brown stone is a matte medium brown, Pearl is exactly that, a shimmery pearl shade, and gold dust is a stunning yellow gold that looks beautiful on warmer skin tones.
The fact is, these are $4.49 and at that price, they are steal. I found all five of these shades to be power packed with pigment. When applying with your brush, you will notice minimal fall out, but nothing insane. They blend so well together as well. I created a look for date night with Mr Milly last night.
I used Gold dust on inner corner, Caramel Brown on middle of eye, and purple shock on outer corner. Then Brown stone on crease, and Pearl on the browbown. I also used Gold Dust, Caramel Brown, and Purple shock on bottom lid too. My eyeliner is Urban Decay 24 Hour. My blush is Tarte's newest one which I'm reviewing tomorrow, and my lipgloss is also a Tarte new one. Now that I look at the pic, I should have blended the crease a little more, but hey, you live and learn.
How was your weekend? On Sunday, Mr. Milly and I headed to our fave spot Cuba. I realized that my favorite part of Cuba is their mango martinis. Hands down, I think they are the best in NYC. If you're over 21, and like a good martini from time to time, head on over there.
Yum, how was your weekend?
Did you guys do anything fun?
